Long time no post. This site has been on a hiatus for a while, and I apologize to all Artaud fans out there about that. A redesign is in progress, as well as an improved and updated bibliography. I am also planning to add a section with quotes from Artaud regarding various topics. If you would like to contribute, by all means, please do! In the meanwhile, watch this space.
Monday, December 23, 2002Jacques Bonnot, director of the Théâtre de Nesle in Paris, invited the Passe Théâtre Company to perform their creation, "Artaud Mômo, Tête à Tête", based on the infamous Vieux Colombier conference by Antonin Artaud. The company will give 30 performances from January 14 through February 22, 2003, which will each be followed by a "Dark Poetry Night" and two concerts.
Tuesday, March 13, 2001Eliot just emailed me to let me know about a remarkable portrait of Artaud he recently completed using Corel. His website features more drawings on other subjects.
Wednesday, March 07, 2001I'm often asked how and why I started this site. At the time, in 1995, I was in the second year of my bachelor of arts degree in literature at the Sorbonne. I just had bought myself a notebook to type my thesis on, which was titled "Antonin Artaud et le Mexique : à la recherche d'une nouvelle idée de l'homme". I had found that there was strictly nothing on the Web about Artaud, so I decided to publish a bibliography, some links and writings, both in French and English. The site then moved to another server, left as is for almost a year, until I recently started updating it again, and moved it to a new URL. In the meanwhile, I created a Yahoo! Club dedicated to Artaud, boosting as of today some 60 members.
Tuesday, March 06, 2001Welcome to this new version of my site dedicated to Antonin Artaud. I've gone through some work in order to make publishing much easier, mostly using Miva and Blogger.
